Fireplace mantels are a great way to add class and style to your fireplace.  Whether you have a gas, electric or real fireplace you can reap the many benefits of a fireplace mantel.  They can be a beautiful decorating item in your home if you use them properly.

Most fireplaces are the center of attention in any house.  You should invest in a mantel if you want to bring the beauty out of that old dirty fireplace.  Not only is it essential to decorate your mantel but you can use it for organization too.  Hang that new flat screen T.V. above it and keep your DVR, remote controls, video game consoles on your mantel.  Dress it up during the holidays for everyone to see.  Make your fireplace the life of the room.

A mantel is the perfect place to keep your cup of water away from the little kids so not to spill on the carpet.  Put up expensive items on your mantel so your dog or cat does not ruin these precious things.  I use my mantel for my keys and wallet when I come home for work.
